About UltraTools AI
Last updated: October 10, 2026
UltraTools AI is a collection of free online tools for images, text, audio, and code. Every tool runs inside your web browser, so the files and text you work with stay on your own device.
Why we built it
Most free online tools work the same way: you upload a file, it's processed on someone else's server, and you hope it gets deleted afterwards. Many of them also limit downloads, add watermarks, or ask you to create an account first.
Modern browsers can now run serious software, including AI models, directly on your computer or phone. We built UltraTools AI to take advantage of that. When you remove a background, extract text from a scan, or format an API response here, the work happens on your device. There's no upload queue, and there's nothing for us to store.
What we offer
- AI image tools: background removal, upscaling, face blurring, smart cropping, object detection, color palettes and format conversion.
- Text and writing tools: summarizing, readability scores, keyword analysis, paraphrasing, language detection and sentiment analysis.
- Audio and OCR tools: image to text, invoice data extraction, text to speech and voice typing.
- Developer tools: JSON formatting, regex testing, Base64, hashes, minification, Markdown, QR codes and passwords.
- Guides: practical how-to articles that explain the techniques behind the tools, including free alternatives built into your devices.
Our principles
- Private by default. Tools process your content locally. Where a browser feature works differently (for example, speech recognition in Chrome uses Google's speech service), we say so on the tool page.
- Free and open. No account, no watermark and no download limits.
- Honest about limits. AI can make mistakes. Each tool page explains how it works, when it struggles, and what to double-check.
- Built on proven open source. We use well-known open-source projects and models, including Transformers.js, ONNX Runtime, Tesseract, Real-ESRGAN, OpenCV models, Terser and Marked, and we credit them on the tool pages.
How we write our guides
Our articles are written to answer one question completely and accurately. We explain the method, show the free options (including ones that have nothing to do with us), and point out common mistakes. Screenshots show our tools working on real files. We review guides when tools, platforms or best practices change.
